Meatpaper, founded in 2007 by two Salon alums, Sasha Wizansky and Amy Standen, is the world's only quarterly print magazine exploring meat culture. We launched the journal in response to the recent groundswell of interest in the ethics, aesthetics, and cultural significance of meat, what we call the "fleischgeist."
Sasha Wizansky is a visual artist and graphic designer living in San Francisco. She is the editor-in-chief and art director of Meatpaper, and also works on interdisciplinary projects and events involving art, design, and food.
