Ruth Henrich
Item: Flying Girl / SOLD
I've been painting for a long time at a place called the Painting Studio in San Francisco. What we do is "process painting," where we're not learning technique, or painting live models, or looking at bowls of fruit. There's no critiquing of work. In studio parlance, we're not "painting a painting," but exploring the creative process. It's fun and exciting and sometimes hard, and I've managed to learn a lot about myself over the years. This painting, tempera on paper, is a product of that class.
